CHRONOLOGY AND GENEALOGY-REFUTING THE MYTH THAT THEY ARE BORING AND NON-SALVIFIC

DOES BIBLICAL CHRONOLOGY OF THE EARTH VERIFY JESUS’S LAST GENERATION PROPHECY?

Have you ever verified Jesus’ prophecy about the last generation? How can you tell that generation ended prematurely? Did you know that with this prophecy, Christ provided the means of verifying the accuracy of any Chronological study, and conversely accurate Chronology verified his prophecy about the Last generation that shall not pass?

As much as God and his son want us to have faith in their words, they do not expect blind faith either. When bible prophecy is given, God expects that his people will look employ both history and exegesis to confirm its fulfillment.

The prophecy about the last generation is so consequential that Jesus admonished the church as follows, Whoso readeth, let him understand-Matthew 24:15. This means that God expects his people to employ every gift he has made available to them towards reaching accurate understanding of this prophecy. In other words, he wants his church to ask and answer the questions:

When did the generation he was talking about begin?

How old is a generation?

How old was that generation when the Roman army destroyed it; did it complete its standard length?

In short, God is asking the church to undertake the study of the Chronology of the earth and the Great controversy. Has such a study ever been done by the church, importantly in relation to Christ’s prophecy about the last generation? The answer is no.

Ussher and other theologians have undertaken the computation of the chronology of the earth, but only in terms of refuting the claim of anthropologists and related scientists that the earth is millions, billions, to trillions of years old. But the most important purpose of this study is actually as it relates to the last generation of the world, the generation that will not run its course before Christ comes again. While Ussher’s work had focused on the age of the earth, the important Chronology study for this time is therefore as it relates to the second coming of Christ. Chronology has never been studied in this regards.

Finally, such a study has been undertaken, and not only does it verify the accuracy of Christ’s prophecy regarding the END OF THE NATION OF ISRAEL in 70 CE, but it more importantly provides knowledge of the very generation that will witness the appearing of Christ in his second Advent at the END OF THE WORLD, a generation that will witness parallel events as those of the last generation of the Jewish nation..
