THE WORK OF THE MESSENGER
SPIRIT OF PROPHECY ALERT TO SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISTS: WE ARE ABOUT TO CRUCIFY CHRIST AGAIN
AD 31 IS ABOUT TO BE REPEATED TWO THOUSAND YEARS LATER TO THE DAY AND HOUR
“I asked the meaning of the shaking I had seen and was shown that it would be caused by the straight testimony called forth by the counsel of the True Witness to the Laodiceans. This will have its effect upon the heart of the receiver, and will lead him to exalt the standard and pour forth the straight truth. Some will not bear this straight testimony. They will rise up against it, and this is what will cause a shaking among God’s people” – Early Writings, p 271.
How many realizes that Jesus’s 7 years ministry-Daniel 9:27(3.5 years by himself primarily, and the other 3.5 years as the Divine, Holy Spirit working through his disciples and apostles), was MINISTRY OF STRAIGHT TRUTH, TESTIMONY AND SHAKING?
Having this knowledge provides one the understanding of the above vision received by Ellen G. White. It reveals what is about to happen in the Seventh-day Adventist church primarily, and the world secondarily and shortly following. This vision is found in Early Writings, The Shaking, p 269 – 273.
In this book and study, you are about to embark on a journey through the events, given to this beloved prophet of God, Ellen G. White, of the LAST TEN YEARS OF THIS WORLD AND THE GREAT CONTROVERSY, but especially a repeat and parallel of the 3.5 years that culminated in the crucifixion of our Lord.
In this parallel fulfillment, it is not the Jewish church-nation that will be at the center. It is the SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISTS CHURCH. Just as it was the case with the Jewish nation, it starts with APOSTASY, the apostasy(falling away) of Seventh-day Adventist church. This apostasy began in earnest in AD 1888, at the occasion of the General Conference of the church. At this conference, Jesus was preached and presented to the church. Jesus appeared, walked into the conference, and he was rejected.
This rejection at this day marked the beginning of the descent into apostasy by the church. The falling away was solidified in the official adoption of the Trinity Doctrine and Worship. On the day this pagan and evil teaching was formally established in the church, Christ’s letters to the churches of Pergamos, Thyatira, and Sardis began to speak to and become applicable to Seventh-day Adventists church. The result is that the church is now also in the LAODCEAN STATE. This is the state the Jewish church was when Christ began his ministry of Straight truth, testimonies and Shaking in AD 27.
Between Matthew 24, Daniel 12, and Ellen G. White’s 4000, 6000 years prophecies, we have the revelation that Christ is about to commence another ministry of straight truths, testimonies and Shaking exactly 2000 years later, to the day and hour, in AD 2027.
Jesus, the Daily, is about to be taken away again, and Abomination of desolation set up, the third and final fulfillment; and it begins in Seventh-day Adventist church, with the rejection of his straight truths and testimonies, to be preached by his chosen instrument. This will culminate, in AD 2031, with the General Conference joining the churches of Babylon to unite with the world state to declare the Pope Universal head of all churches and religions.
In the same way that the Jewish nation was not ready for Christ and his messages, so will it be soon that the majority in the Seventh-day Adventist church will not be ready for the truths that are to be preached soon. The same hindrance, namely the establishment and codification of traditions in the place of Christ’s doctrines, are already rampant and a mainstay in the preachings of “star” ministers who are adored and revered in the church. Everyone and every message is now being measured and judged based on how these messages agree, or not, with the views of these star preachers.
An important reason the Jewish church was unable to understand Jesus’s messages is the misinterpretations of the LAW and the PROPHETS. Over time, the Jewish leaders, due to love of the world, desire for political, and leadership roles, lack of consecration and prayerful study of scriptures, came to develop appealing but false interpretations of the prophecies that apply to Jesus’s first advent. They came to indulge the error that the more complex and the more stringent the Laws of God are made, the more holy the nation will become. This was seen as REFORMATION, with the Laws of God and the messages of the prophets seen as outdated and requiring fine tunings to bring them up to modern times and necessities.
By the time Christ arrived, the nation had become solidified in the false idea that he was to be born in a royal house, a military commander as David was, and that his mission was to overthrow the Roman empire. The imposition of traditions over the true messages of God’s laws and His prophets was not immediate or sudden. It was subtle, and occurred over an extended period of time. Influences from Babylon, Greece, Medopersia, Assyria, Egypt and all the pagan nations with which Israel had become enamored by their religion and way of life, gradually but steadily corrupted their understanding and interpretations of God’s messages.
Consequently, Jesus’ messages became to them falsehood, strange doctrine, and Abominations. The nation became incapable of seeing that Jesus’s message was actually the pure messages God had given since Abraham, through Moses, and that the nation had departed from them. The tragedy was that many had zeal for God but knowledge that was founded, not on the pure and true word of God that Jesus was bringing back to them, but instead on traditions and misinterpretations that have become the norm and have been codified.
This is the state that Seventh-day Adventist church is at presently. The spirit of prophecy encouraged the need to continually study and to look for new lights that God will be shining her way. But, sadly, this counsel has not been heeded. Instead the star theologians of the church have gone after fanciful theories, and have been content with the many discoveries that the pioneers have been favored with. They write books, organize seminars and crusades where they display their constructs of God’s words instead of the truths.
Hiding under the guise of being defenders of the pillars established by the pioneers, they reject any light that God reveals from the scriptures. They manifest zeal, but not for God, but for themselves and their philosophies and traditions, for their false interpretations of the scriptures. They deceive themselves that they love God and the truth, when they actually have love only for themselves and their offices. Consequently the General Conference leaders have become haters of truth and its proponents, persecuting those who will preach against the errors and falsehoods of the church.
Finally, the church has settled into the same mold as the Jewish nation-church when she crucified Christ, and is only waiting for Christ to manifest himself. Will Christ manifest? Yes, according to Spirit of Prophecy, he will do so soon, not physically, but as Spirit working through His messenger, of whom Spirit of prophecy declared,
“I asked the meaning of the shaking I had seen and was shown that it would be caused by the straight testimony called forth by the counsel of the True Witness to the Laodiceans. This will have its effect upon the heart of THE RECEIVER, and will lead HIM to exalt the standard and pour forth the straight truth. Some will not bear this straight testimony. They will rise up against it, and this is what will cause a shaking among God’s people” – Early Writings, p 271.
They will rise up, believing they are doing so against this messenger, but in truth, it will be against Christ. How often have our preachers lamented the course that the Jews pursued against Christ and his Father? If only they now see that they have settled into the same mold and are ready to repeat the evil of the Jewish nation. The danger the church is in is very urgent and will soon be emergent.
The church is not Babylon: While the church is not Babylon, she is in bed with Babylon presently and has been for a long time. Seventh-day Adventists church used to be in an enviable position of being severed from any link with Babylon. But, from lack of diligence and watchfulness, Rome was allowed to re-establish a link and tie with the church through Trinity Doctrine. The larger majority of the church has failed to see that there is no distinction between SUNDAY WORSHIP and TRINITY DOCTRINE. While the former honors and establishes the day of worship, the latter reveals the God who is honored and worshipped on Sunday. Both doctrines were formerly put together in the same venue and occasion, presided over by the same pagan Emperor, at the Council of Nicaea in AD 325.
The fate of the Nation of Israel to be suffered by Seventh-day Adventist church:
From history, God’s judgement against Israel consisted in allowing the very nation she has committed adultery and fornication with to become her desolators. When she took to Sun God worship, God permitted Ancient Babylon, the chief worshipper of the sun, to destroy her and take her into captivity. After Babylon came MedoPersia, Greece, and finally Rome.
The same pattern continued with the professed Christian Church. When she went to bed with the sun God of Rome, deceived by the false conversion of Emperor Constantine, not only did Rome conquer the church spiritually, but God allowed Rome to bring desolation to the church of God and against all the memorials of God and Christ. Many have the misconception that the Roman Catholic institution is God’s Apostate church. This is a misunderstanding of prophecy. Papacy is instead Imperial Rome at the stage when her conquest of the professed Christian Church became complete. In other words, the Papal Roman power is simply Imperial Rome in the guise of false Christianity, which is equivalent to zero Christianity. Imperial Pagan Rome, that ancient paganism, had to do this maneuver in order to fulfill prophecy’s declaration that she will prosper for a long time. Rome’s transition into Papacy was a ploy to extend its life span, as prophecy indicated(“prosper and practice”). Imperial Rome has never been conquered, as the other empires before her. It simply metamorphosed(evolved, transformed) into Papacy, and continued to live on. Then temporarily it received the deadly wound, which is fast healing, and would soon be completely healed by the United States, the Lamb like horned beast(Rev 13).
When it saw that Rome’s imperial days were almost over, Satan employed Emperor Constantine and Justinian to extend the life of his darling empire. This is what prophecy teaches, and never that Papacy conquered paganism, as Seventh-day Adventist church theology has taught in her interpretation of the DAILY and ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION. Therefore, today, as the Seventh-day Adventist church, through the General Conference, has fallen into bed with Rome, the professed Christian Church is about to suffer the same fate as in the medieval days(“dark ages”).
As is God’s custom, He will allow Rome to come against His apostate church once again. Many fool themselves that simply because the Seventh-day Adventist church, like the Jewish nation-church, is not formally Babylon, that means that God will not abandon her. They confuse the church with name and formal organization, not realizing that in the eyes of God the true church is the body of faithful believers who honor him and his son, Jesus Christ.
As the Spirit of prophecy reveals through Sister White’s vision, Rome will soon match against the General Conference, and these so- called shepherds, whom Christ described as hirelings will all flee. Because they are hireling instead of true lieutenant shepherds that Christ expects them to be, they will flee and leave the sheep in Jeopardy and scattered.
According to the vision, God’s sheep would then begin to look around for new lieutenant shepherds, as the shaking is just about to conclude. The faithful Seventh-day Adventists, who will have no use for the formal organizational structure and her buildings and infrastructure by which they have committed fornication with Rome, will rise up and choose for themselves new leaders by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is under this new leadership, who will not make use of the organization and its defiled physical assets and infractures, that God will preach the three Angels’ messages and finish the work.
This is the surprise that God has awaiting the leaders of the church who are now in the same mold as the Jewish church leaders of Christ’s day. This is the manner the shaking out of the leadership and its followers will fulfill. When Christ was done with the Jewish church, the leadership and the adherents were left shaken out, and never became part of the new movement and Kingdom. It is the same fate that the General conference and those who blindly follow her will undergo.
The history of the Jewish should be a warning to the General Conference. But sadly, like the Jewish church leadership, the General Conference will not learn anything from history. She will instead repeat it. But this will be the final time. The remnant that will come out will be the ones that will match the saints on into Canaan.
